Brandon Butler
Brandon was born and raised in a small gated community (hippie commune, some say) on the Kansas prarie. A gently evangelical early life, little conflict in the family, and organic food. Great way to grow up, he says. He learned livestock husbandry, fence care, general carpentry, the best tricks to keeping an american made vehicle forever young. Carefully homeschooled, university was a two and a half year breeze. A planned career in the park service was ended after seven months; a careless hunter put a .30/06 round through his left calf, permenantly damaging the achilles tendon. So, after some thought, Brandon grabbed some buddies, bought a van or two, and hit the road as a songwriter. He's proof that the great American songwriter still exists. Records that take you through a years worth of experience in forty-five minutes. Love songs that'll make your hands ache; whole volumes in the music. Rockers posed as a res car running home after a win on friday, arms waving, voices raised, dust flying.
